Empathic Educators — Bridging Mental Health and Education

Our approach

Two professions. One child.

We bring qualified psychotherapists and qualified teachers together to understand the child, empower the parent and connect home, school and community — before difficulties escalate into crisis.

The dual-professional model

Emotional wellbeing and learning are one story.

A child who is anxious, dysregulated or unsure of their needs being met will often struggle to learn. A child who is falling behind at school will often struggle emotionally. Too often these are treated as separate problems by separate services.

Our team combines therapeutic understanding with classroom experience — so we can see the whole child, speak the language of both home and school, and help each understand the other.

Deliberately preventative

From concern to connection.

We intervene at the point where a family feels “something isn’t right” — while difficulties are still manageable.

  1. 1

    Early concern

You notice something isn’t right — perhaps increasing emotional dysregulation, worry or difficulty at school.

  2. 2

    Accessible support

You join a workshop or programme, or get in touch for an informal conversation.

  3. 3

    Individualised support

Together we identify your child’s specific triggers and needs.

  4. 4

    Appropriate referral

Where needed, we connect your family with specialist statutory or voluntary support.

  5. 5

    Follow-up

We review progress together and identify any further needs.

Our principles

How we work.

  • Accessible

Easy to reach, without long waits or complex referral routes.

  • Inclusive

Every child welcome, including those turned away elsewhere.

  • Culturally responsive

Respecting the many ways families understand wellbeing.

  • Non-judgemental

No blame for parents. No labels for children.

  • Family-centred

Strengthen the parent, strengthen the family.

  • Connected

Working with schools, professionals and community organisations.
