Simone Stephen
Our founder
Simone Stephen.
Psychotherapist, qualified teacher and community leader, with over ten years’ experience supporting children, young people and families.
Simone’s work bridges mental health, education and community engagement. Her approach integrates therapeutic practice with educational support, helping children and young people develop emotional resilience, confidence and positive pathways for the future.
She founded Homework Clubs in Kensington & Chelsea in 2021 during the Covid school closures, providing academic support and healthy food for families through the cost-of-living crisis. Hearing again and again that there was not enough for children with SEND, she founded Empathic Educators CIC in June 2025.
Simone is passionate about creating safe, inclusive spaces where young people can reach their full potential, and continues to work closely with local communities to promote wellbeing, education and social inclusion.
